Revealing the potential of children with moderate mental retardation, their inclusion in the life of society requires the search for certain ways of their possible socialization.

The experience of working with students with developmental problems has shown that the organization of theatrical holidays in school VIII of the kindis a unique and effective means of correction and compensation in the development of children with intellectual disabilities of their adaptation in society. The essence of the holiday cannot be determined outside social activities... As an activity, a holiday is important tool humanization of upbringing, as a form that unites different types of activity (cognition, work, communication) - a means of all-round development of the individual. As a subject of pedagogical activity, the holiday acts as an intermediary in ensuring the process of cooperation, since the main participants in the holiday are adults and children. Performing joint actions, children satisfy the need for communication, gain experience of mutual assistance and interaction. A theatrical holiday is a synthesis of many types of arts. It includes a variety of arts; this is literature and music, painting and theater, pantomime, in a word, everything that allows you to broaden the horizons of children, form norms of behavior, and develop their potential. The basis of any holiday is musical activity, which consists of songs and dances. Children learn to subordinate their movements to the rhythm of music, to distinguish musical tempos, to reflect them in movements, games, accompanying speech. A significant role in the process of preparing the holiday is played by visual activity, during which visual memory and fine motor skills develop. Students make gifts for parents, elements of theatrical costumes, participate in the process of decorating decorations (leaves for the fall holiday, snowflakes, decorations for the New Year tree, leaves for the fall holiday). It is important that the children know that they are helping to organize the upcoming theatrical performance with their participation. Theatrical performances develop the speech activity of students with moderate mental retardation. In the process of preparing and conducting the holiday, even speechless children try to imitate characters of theatrical action at an elementary level. An important criterion for the selection of the content of a theatrical performance for students with intellectual disabilities is a correctly adapted literary material. As you know, children with moderate mental retardation due to the uniqueness of mental development have a number of features, including underdevelopment of the emotional sphere.

The use of literary material based on the content of folk and author's tales has a positive effect on the emotional development of children, evokes a certain response in them, teaches them to be happy, sad, and encourages contact. In the practice of our educational institution, various forms of children's parties are used: theatrical performances, thematic days and weeks, festive ceremonies and rituals, performances, shows, contests, rulers, concerts. All of them make up an integral part of cultural and leisure activities in working with students. When working with students with moderate mental retardation, we actively use calendar (1st September holiday, "Gifts of Autumn" holiday, New Year holiday, March 8th holiday, Maslenitsa, "Summer is coming!" Holiday) and thematic holidays (based on literary works). The theatrical holiday should combine not only entertaining, but also developing, educational functions. Therefore, in the content of any holiday, we include educational moments and cognitive tasks.

The work on organizing holidays includes a number of stages:

Stage IV. - Making costumes and decorations;

Dear teachers!

The theater has been and remains an effective assistant in the moral and aesthetic education of children. A good, wise performance gives a lot to both the mind and the soul of the little spectator, as it encourages thinking and empathy. Direct participation in theatrical performance develops the young actor intellectually, creatively, spiritually and physically. Learning the text of the role trains memory. Stage movement teaches you to control your body. Interaction with partners on stage is a special valuable communication experience that forms the ability to contact and work with people. The need to act in public teaches you to control your emotions, it liberates you creatively. Theatre- this is a game, and a game- element of the child.

In the book "Theatrical activities in a preschool educational institution" scripts are presented in verse based on the famous works of foreign storytellers "The Royal Hares" by P. K. Asbjornsen and "The Ugly Duckling" by G.-H. Andersen and 14 scripts in prose and verse based on fairy tales of the peoples of the world (Europe, Asia, USA, Africa). These small pieces are intended to be performed in kindergarten, primary school and in the children's theater group. They can also be staged in a puppet show and home theater.

Each scenario offers the available options for the design of the play space and staging solutions, but there is a wide scope for imagination. Depending on the capabilities of the directors, the scenery and costumes can be the simplest, conditional, or, conversely, bright, original, detailed. In one case, ordinary chairs, hangers-racks, screens will indicate the scene, and small details of the costume, masks - the characters. In another version, it can be picturesque scenery depicting the characteristic landscapes of the country, the dwellings of heroes; do-it-yourself props, sketched costumes. In the work on the design of the performance, it is imperative that

children, not just teachers and parents. Children can draw sketches of costumes and decorations, take part in the production of props, costumes, masks, and the selection of props. In the play, you can use computer technology to create "magic" effects and demonstrate the scene on the screen; for an illustrated story about the country where the fairy tale was born, the dramatization of which is presented to the audience. Lighting and musical design also varies from simple to complex in terms of the possibilities of the directors. Specially choreographed dances and well-rehearsed vocal numbers will embellish the action.

In grammar schools with in-depth study of foreign languages, you can make a translation and play a fairy tale in the original language - English, Italian, Finnish, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, etc. This will be an excellent language practice for students.

The book will come in handy for holding a theater festival in your nursery. educational institution or among several kindergartens (schools, amateur groups). This event can become a bright, memorable event in the life of children. Each group (class) presents its own fairy tale, preceding or ending the dramatization with an interesting story about the country and its customs. Children perform folk dances and songs, demonstrate national costumes. The theater festival will successfully complement the competition of children's drawings and crafts on the themes of fairy tales of the peoples of the world, nature, attractions and customs different countries... At the end of the creative holiday, guests and participants can be pleased with an original treat - dishes of national cuisine.

Any folk tale, even the most amusing and frivolous at first glance, contains morality, instruction, ridicules human vices and weaknesses. In a small text, as a rule, the age-old wisdom of the people is concentrated. The dramatization of fairy tales of the peoples of the world brought to your attention ends with a list of sample questions for discussion. You can use scripts to teach fun moral education classes. For this, it is not necessary to embody a fairy tale on stage. In a group (class)

read the play in faces, pre-assigning roles. If the children do not already know how to read, they can learn the roles at home with the help of a parent or in a group with the help of a teacher. In the simplest version, you can read the story to the children yourself and discuss it on questions. You can play out a fairy tale with toys, especially if it is a fairy tale about animals. Or you can prepare and show individual scenes in class.
