Second story: Changing the sign does not change the result
Electrician Ivan Lvov from Togliatti has extensive experience in shift work - for 7 years, and during this time he was deceived only once.

In November 2016, he arrived as part of a team of workers in the city of Nadym, one trust, which at that time was part of the Promindustriya holding, became his employer. He worked there for a whole month, after which Lvov and his forty colleagues were told the news that the trust had gone bankrupt.

Ivan recalls the story this way:
“We went home to wait for money. A week later, we got a call from personnel and offered to go on a shift, but to a new contractor. We left for the Komi Republic. Nadym".
Employees realized that they were being led by the nose: in their opinion, the group of companies is the same - just under different signs.
Lvov turned to the prosecutor's office, to the investigating authorities, wrote to the president's office, but how the story will end is not yet clear: "We worked for four months and received 20 thousand rubles. The company owes me only 180 thousand, and in general - eight million rubles. Now we won a lawsuit against the trust, but it is not known when the money will be paid to us."

The life of a shift worker is like "Russian roulette": lucky - no luck, - says Ivan Lvov. "It is impossible to foresee all the risks. They write one thing on the Internet, but in fact it comes out differently. There are famous companies, but there everything is occupied for several years ahead. We, ordinary people, have to look for work at our own peril and risk," he mourns.

Blacklists of employers
In order to combat dishonest employers, shift workers create communities in in social networks and maintain blacklists of companies there. So, in one of the communities, engineer Evgeny writes that companies often register in Moscow or St. Petersburg, and the watch is located somewhere in Yakutia. Such companies over the phone promise to pay for travel from home to the place of rotation, but at the same time they do not invite them to their office for an interview.

Story Three: Lawlessness in Yamal
Far from civilization, shift workers are completely dependent on their employer. But there are times when the patience of the workers runs out, and they go to extreme measures.
So, in the summer of 2017, the story of the construction of a new gas liquefaction plant in the village of Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula thundered throughout Russia: 25 people went on a hunger strike and posted a video on YouTube demanding to pay off wage arrears. The Yamal LNG company, in order to smooth the situation, transferred money to the contractor RSK-Logistic in excess of the contract for paying debts to the starving - 4,000,000 rubles.
In the company "RSK-Logistic" about 400 people worked on a shift, wage arrears were owed to all employees. The problematic employer became interested in the regional prosecutor's office and in the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the moment, Maxim Smirnov, the founder of RSK-Logistic, is under investigation.

In Yamal, this is far from an isolated case, but shift workers are afraid that if they start to openly resent, they will be fired and left with nothing. “There is no subordination, anyone can be sent to the street by an ordinary master. The application is forced to be written,” one of the workers said in an interview with RIA Novosti. He confirmed that there are a lot of contractors and subcontractors in Sabetta. And each has its own rules and systems of fines (which also contradicts the Labor Code).
“Sometimes workers can’t stand the prescribed two or three months and leave. Then the cost of overalls, meals, as a rule, training, flights are deducted from the salary, and people return with empty pockets. And the shift camps where the workers live leave much to be desired,” describes - I live in "Severny", next to "Southern", between them "Romashka" and separately there is a town car. "Romashka" in comparison with "Severka" and "Yuzhka" is the third grade.
There are problems with water, food, space heating. Hostels are designed for eight people, and we live for sixteen. There are rest rooms on each floor, but they have been refurbished and additional beds have been added. It makes no sense to talk about wagons - it is impossible to live there in winter.
He also noted that when he was hired, he was promised a white salary, but in fact only a small part is official, the rest are “bonuses” that are given out in black cash: “The bank laughs at me: you go to the North to receive 15 thousand rubles. was black, and remained so.
But he does not plan to quit shift work - for him this is the only chance to make good money, no one will offer him that kind of money at home.
