The competition is annually held by the Ministry of Labor of Russia together with interested federal and regional executive authorities, all-Russian associations of trade unions and all-Russian associations of employers. Its main goals are to increase the prestige of blue-collar occupations in demand on the labor market; promotion of the achievements and best practices of the participants in the competition; assistance in attracting young people for training and employment in blue-collar professions.

In 2016, the competition will be held in the following nominations approved by the Organizing Committee of the competition:

  • "Best Turner" (federal stage of the competition - June 2016, Tula region);
  • "Best milling machine operator" (federal stage of the competition - end of October 2016, Lipetsk region);
  • "The best concrete worker" (federal stage of the competition - September 19-23, 2016, Krasnoyarsk Territory);
  • "The best driver of a shunting diesel locomotive" (federal stage of the competition - early October 2016, Moscow region, site of CJSC "Lytkarinskoye PPZhT");
  • "The best electrician for the repair of substation equipment" (federal stage of the competition - end of July 2016, Leningrad Region, PJSC Rosseti site).

The final of the "Best in Profession" competition will be held taking into account the results of regional competitions, in the form of face-to-face competitions with the implementation of specific production tasks. The final stage for specific nominations is organized on the basis of manufacturing enterprises.

The prize-winners of the competition in each nomination are paid a monetary incentive: 300 thousand rubles - to those who took first places, 200 thousand rubles - to those who took second places and 100 thousand rubles - to those who took third places.

The ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the professional skills competition "The best in profession in the tourism industry", organized by the Federal Agency for Tourism, took place in Moscow. The best in the profession were awarded by the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov.

The competition was held in 2 stages in three nominations and three subnominations: "The best employee of the reception and accommodation service", "The best manager of inbound and domestic tourism" (subnominations: "Specialist in the field of affordable tourism" and "Manager of youth tourism") and "The best guide (guide)" (sub-nomination "Guide-interpreter").

According to the results of the federal stage of the competition in the nomination "The best employee of the hotel reception and accommodation service", the first place was taken by Tatyana Kornelievna Konstantinova - specialist of the reception and accommodation service of the Tygyn Darkhan hotel (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In second place is Elena Vyacheslavovna Podmareva - head of the reception service and placement of OOO Alliance Saransk (Republic of Mordovia) Third place - Yavorskaya Irina Nikolaevna, senior administrator of OOO GK Bashkortostan (Republic of Bashkortostan).

In the nomination "The best manager for inbound and domestic tourism" the first place was taken by Anna Andreeva - senior manager of OOO TA "Magnolia" (Omsk region). The second place went to Anna Aleksandrovna Rogaleva, director of sales and strategic development of Sakha-Satal LLC (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
