Goldfeld headed the vendor's key account department from 2015 to 2016. One of the largest projects he led was the supply of Huawei equipment to Akado. In 2015, the operator announced that Huawei would build a data center for Komkor (part of the Akado group of companies) in Moscow on Varshavskoye Shosse. It was supposed to be the first data processing center (DPC) in Russia, which Huawei will create from start to finish, says a source close to one of the project participants.

According to Vedomosti's interlocutors, Goldfeld offered to make payments to Akado in favor of Huawei through a third company, and he told both partners that this was a requirement of the second party. As a result, a part of the amounts "stuck" at the intermediary company. The vendor believes that the company was created by Goldfeld himself, and accuses him of causing damage of several hundred thousand dollars.

Akado is aware of the proceedings related to the theft of funds from Huawei, according to a source close to the company.

Unique project with a good budget

The data center for Akado (area - 1200 sq. M. And is designed for 200 racks) was positioned as the first data center completely created by the vendor without the help of integrator companies. “Huawei acted as the general contractor for the project: specialists carried out a full range of activities, from design to equipment supply, installation and commissioning,” the companies said in a statement. Tatiana Temkina, an analyst at iKS-Consulting, said that she did not remember that telecommunications equipment manufacturers built a data center in Russia from start to finish. As a rule, data centers are built by specialized integrators, which are few in Russia.

A source close to him estimated the total budget of the data center construction project at about $ 7 million. The companies did not disclose how much the operator paid the vendor for the supply of equipment for the data center.

Went to competitors

The interlocutors clarify that the case against Goldfeld got a move after he went to work for another Chinese vendor, Huawei's closest competitor - ZTE. According to these people, Goldfeld's team at ZTE was trying to collect contracts from a former employer.

Goldfeld has been working in the telecommunications market since the early 2000s. If in 2015 they amounted to only 2.3 million rubles, then the next year they increased to 517.3 million rubles, and this year they already amount to 958.74 million rubles.

A Huawei representative did not comment on the information about the vendor's claims against the manager and filing a complaint with law enforcement agencies. It is not known to the company whether Goldfeld is under arrest, as the manager no longer works for the company. He denied the searches in the office in Krylatskoye.

ZTE is not aware of Goldfeld's arrest, a ZTE spokesman said, adding that the manager left the company more than six months ago, and ZTE is not tracking the lives of former employees. In total, Goldfeld worked at the company for a little less than a year, he specifies.
