These birds look very nice. In general, burlap is a very interesting material for creativity. With a certain approach, he can sparkle with very new and unexpected "colors". For example, imagine (or even just try): if such birds are tinted with gold on the abdomens, cheeks and wings with a dry brush. It will turn out very rich and beautiful. The main thing here is not to overdo it. Still, burlap requires a certain simplicity.

And you can make them in a completely different style. For example, coffee shops. Burlap and coffee are a wonderful combination. In general, yes, burlap is a wonderful material.

Required materials and tools:

The template is a paper pattern. (You will find it under the cut)

Heat and Bond is such a glue (there are many different ones) that is poured between rags, and then they are ironed with an iron, and they stick together. This material was used by the author of the master class. But for my taste, it is better to use thermo-non-woven here.
Filler. For example: polyfill, cotton wool, synthetic winterizer, what is available or what you like best.
Large black beads or beads - two pieces.

And this is our template. We print, cut out.

For the cut we use both burlap and lining. We need the lining so that the padding does not stick out between the rare sacking threads. And we will use glue interlining as a lining (or we will glue it on special glue). At the same time, it will strengthen the decorative but loose sacking, and protect the toy from sprinkling and creeping.

Cut out the bird's pattern, leaving seam allowances for sewing. Sew them together, but remember to leave a hole at the bottom (where two pins are marked on the pattern). We will stuff the toy through this hole.

After filling, the hole is carefully sewn up with an inconspicuous seam.

Now we take the wire and make a tail out of it. To do this, it must be bent as in the photo.

Bending the wire blank of the tail, we wrap it with a rope. Here and there you need to drop a drop of glue on the wire so that the rope holds tight. Every few turns. Leave the bare tip. We will stick it in the little body.

This is how we stick the tail in its place. Do not forget to glue everything well with glue.

The wings are made in the same way. Only they seem to have two feathers, and not three, as on the tail.

We attach the wings to their places on both sides.

Now in our fingers we roll the rope into such decorative spirals.

We glue these decorative ornaments on the wing, body and head of the bird. See how it is done in the photo, or come up with your own options. But in this case, the circles of the rope cover the place where the wings are attached, which makes the bird even more accurate.

Now paint over the beak with acrylic black paint. And the eyes are made of beads.

To hang the bird, for example, on a Christmas tree, you need to attach a loop to it.

For Bird Day, together with children, you can make a voluminous firebird from salt dough. The work will take little time, require very little materials and will provide the children with a cheerful and festive mood.

We will need: salted dough, gouache or watercolors, colorless varnish.

Step one. Making salted dough. To do this, mix a glass of flour with a glass of salt and knead the dough by pouring 100 ml of brewed starch into it. We prepare it as follows: dilute a tablespoon of starch in 100 ml of cold water and pour a glass of boiling water into this mixture.

Step two. Divide the salted dough into 5 pieces and paint them in different colors. To do this, add gouache or watercolors to each piece and knead it slightly again. Operating procedure:

We create three birds at once - while we sculpt one, the rest dry up. Cut a wire twice as long as the planned tail. We wrap half of the wire with foil, crushing it and forming the body of the bird.
We make paws from wire, as shown in the photo, and insert them into the body. We take a piece of clay, shape it in the shape of a sausage, then roll it out and flatten it. Carefully take out the wire from the bird, place it inside the clay sausage, rolling it up with a glass. Insert the finished colored ponytail back into the body. In the same way we make blanks for the other two birds.
We take a piece of blue, yellow and red clay, roll them out and gradually, smearing them with our fingers, stick them around the birds until all the foil is covered. We will have three blanks of bright birds.
Starting from the center, we stick around the legs. Then we take a piece of clay of the corresponding color and make the cheeks, crown and beak. We sculpt eyes from balls of black clay, not forgetting to squeeze the upper and lower eyelids around them with a stack.
Create a tail and a tuft. To do this, we cut off several wires of the desired length and roll them into clay. When it is dry, round off the tips with round nose pliers and insert the tail details into the bird's body. We make shorter feathers from thin clay sausages by twisting the tips.
We make the plumage effect by putting pieces of clay rolled out in the form of droplets on the body and working with a needle in the direction of feather growth. With the help of a needle, we make feathering all over the bird's body. For shine, the eye can be varnished. The wonderful DIY bird of paradise is ready!
