Do-it-yourself watch with coffee beans. Crafts from coffee: step-by-step instructions for making voluminous crafts and panels from coffee beans (95 photos). Wall coffee clock

1. A piece of glass of the desired size, I have 30 by 30 cm, with a hole in the center for the mechanism. Hole diameter 8mm.

2. Napkin with matching coffee design.

3. Varnish for decoupage (acrylic water-based).

4. Acrylic paint (white, it would be nice to add a little yellow or brown to it, to get a beige tint).

5. Contour on glass in black (gold, silver, bronze - for decoration).

6. Stained glass paint on glass, I have Decola, brown color.

7. Brush, about # 4, and fan also 4, PVA, multifor, rubber roller, alcohol or other degreasing liquid, cotton pads, toothpick.

8. Coffee beans.

9. Mechanism.

We take our glass and prepare it for work - we wipe the glass on both sides with a cotton pad moistened with degreasing liquid. We divide the napkin into layers, take the layer with the pattern and cut it off to fit the glass so that it does not hang from the edges, otherwise it will be inconvenient to stick it.

We put the napkin on the glass with the colored side away from us. Take a fan brush and dip in PVA. We dilute PVA in advance 1 to 2 (1 part of PVA and 2 parts of water). We begin to gently moisten. Some recommend from

center, but I like it more just from top to bottom, in parts, along the way with wet hands, smooth out the resulting wrinkles. When the entire napkin is wet, once again straighten it well, do not pull !!! it is very easy to tear a napkin, put a wet multifra on top and roll it. Thus, all unnecessary bubbles will go away.

We look at the result and leave it to dry. After complete drying, cover the napkin with acrylic varnish. This must be done so that when applying paint, this same paint does not saturate the napkin and spoil the drawing. And if you do not paint with paint, then the drawing will be too faded. Apply the varnish carefully, do not press on the brush, in a thin layer! After the varnish has dried, apply the paint.

It is convenient to apply with a piece of sponge, evenly "poke" the entire surface and dry. If, after drying, it seems that there are gaps, then we paint it a second time, for fidelity. I made the second layer with gold paint.

Actually, we dry it again and varnish it again, to strengthen and protect our labors. After complete drying, it is better the next day, we proceed to the design of the front of our watch. With a contour on the glass, draw a border, to which we fill with grains. In principle, it is possible without a contour, the paint that I use does not flow much, but I like it more with the contour.

Let the contour dry for 10-20 minutes and begin to fill with stained glass paint, in small areas. If you immediately pour a large piece, then the paint will simply have time to dry out while we are laying the grains. So a little bit better. We put the grains in random order, move them to each other with a toothpick, so that they lay down more tightly.

When all the desired space has been filled in this way, we leave to dry. Everything will be fine in an hour. If there are contours of other colors, you can outline the details of the picture, select them. We do not varnish coffee beans! Then they look more natural and the aroma is felt! The varnish will ruin everything, interrupt the smell and give an artificial shine.

We make the dial from available tools. You can simply put bold dots with a contour, or glue the grains to

ofe (you can paint them with acrylic paint in any color and varnish them), in this watch the numbers and other divisions are made of baked plastic from FIMO.

You can glue at least on anything, for a moment, a crystal, for example (I have special glue for creativity). You can also use glass marbles half beads. It remains to insert the mechanism, set all hands at 12 o'clock and set at the desired time. Insert the battery and the clock is ready!

I want to say that in the absence of glass, a watch can be made on anything. On a plywood blank, on a vinyl record ... They will look a little different, but still unusual and will delight you and your loved ones. If there is nothing at all, then buy an inexpensive cutting board, drill a hole for the mechanism and make out! An unnecessary hole, which is initially in such a board, will be closed with a napkin and coffee. I will describe the principle of working with plywood or a plate in a nutshell. First, we prime the surface with a primer. Then we cover with white acrylic paint (you can use car paint in spray cans). We glue a napkin on the dried surface, only in this case with the bright side facing us. We also straighten it, cover it with varnish. We apply stained glass paint and coffee. You can also outline the drawing. We dry, insert the mechanism and that's it !!! A big request, if you make a watch on this MK, post the result in my forum, in the topic about watches. If you have any questions, ask them there! Happy creativity!

This hand-made clock will perfectly match any interior of your kitchen.

And their seductive scent will invigorate you for many days. In addition, a watch made of coffee beans will become an original handmade gift for any celebration.

Making a watch from coffee beans with your own hands is not as difficult as it seems. And if you need inspiration, then on the Internet you can see a great many different variations of such watches and other crafts. Especially you can find many variations of topiary, but today we will still make watches covered with coffee beans.

One of the most interesting variations of the coffee bean watch will be described here. First, you need to prepare a work area and pick up all the necessary materials for your future craft.

List of required materials

  • Glass of the required size, in this case it is 30 by 30 cm, with a hole in the center for the mechanism. Approximately 8 mm.
  • Napkin with a suitable decoupage pattern.
  • Acrylic decoupage varnish.
  • Paints for painting, better acrylic.
  • Stained glass contour in bronze, silver, black and gold for decoration.
  • Stained-glass paint, you can brown.
  • Brushes (you can take regular and fan).
  • Toothpick.
  • PVA glue.
  • Small roller for smoothing paper, preferably a rubber one.
  • Cotton wool or discs.
  • Degreasing liquid (e.g. alcohol).
  • File.
  • Coffee beans.
  • Watch mechanism.

If suddenly you did not have the necessary glass at hand, then the watch can be made on any other blank. Blanks made of different materials will make your watch radically different and interesting in its own way. In shops for creativity, you will find a large number of special blanks for watches with your own hands with holes already made. You can choose absolutely any design for your craft.

Working process

After we have prepared everything, we start working with glass. To better adhere our napkin, we degrease the glass well on both sides. For the convenience of work, it is necessary to cut the napkin to the size of the glass.

Then you need to attach the napkin to the glass with a picture away from you. For a better and faster glue on the napkin, it is better to take a fan brush. For easier application of glue, PVA must be diluted with water one to two, respectively. After that, you need to carefully apply the glue to the entire surface of the napkin. Try to smooth out wrinkles so that the napkin can better adhere to the glass. And to remove all the bubbles, you need to put a wet file on top of the napkin and run a roller over it several times. If done correctly, the napkin will adhere perfectly to the glass. This is a very important part of our craft.

As soon as we have glued on our wonderful napkin, let it dry thoroughly. Then the entire surface of the napkin must be covered with a thin layer of acrylic varnish. It is necessary to paint with varnish with light movements so as not to damage the napkin. And when the varnish dries well, you can apply paint.

We take the desired paint and use a sponge to completely paint over the entire back of the glass. Let the glass dry. If gaps are visible after drying, then it is better to repeat the painting. The next layer can be applied with another paint. For example, gold. Again we dry our craft well and fix it with varnish on top.

After the last coat of varnish, it is better to leave our product to rest overnight so that everything is thoroughly dry. The next day, it's time to start decorating the face of the clock. With the help of a black outline, we outline the border, which we will subsequently fill with coffee beans. If desired, you can do without the outline. But, as it seems to me, the work with the contour turns out to be more accurate.

The contour dries literally in 10–20 minutes, after which it can be gradually painted over with stained-glass paint. If you pour the paint very quickly, then you may not have time to lay out the drawing with coffee beans. It will dry quickly. You can lay out the grains in any order. The main thing is to try to place them as close to each other as possible. A toothpick will help you with this. As soon as you finish covering the craft with the grains, leave to dry for about an hour. During this time, they should bond well. While the grains are sticking, you can circle the drawing with the contours of other colors. This makes your watch even brighter. I do not recommend varnishing coffee beans. Otherwise, the rich coffee aroma will not be felt. In this case, the grains will acquire an unnatural shine.

The dial of your watch can be created from any material. For example, you can draw numbers or stick on coffee beans, while repainting them in different colors. In this master class, plastic numbers were used.

Prepared numbers for the dial can be glued to the moment-crystal glue. For additional decor, you can use marbles half beads. Now you just have to insert the clockwork. Set the exact time and voila, your original watch is ready!

If you nevertheless decide to make a craft with a wooden blank, then you need to know some of the peculiarities of the work. For example, initially you need to prime the entire surface of the product. Then paint over everything with white acrylic paint. Only then we glue the napkin, but this time with the pattern to ourselves. Carefully level the napkin over the surface and fix it with varnish. We do the rest of the steps in the same way as for a glass clock with our own hands.

Parting words to the masters

After spending quite a bit of time, we got such a wonderful watch that only you will have. And, showing a little more imagination, your craft can be brought to absolute perfection. You can make completely different products from coffee beans with your own hands, such as a round tree or topiary, a heart, a Christmas tree, a picture or a cup. All in your hands! Creative success and inexhaustible imagination for you!

The history of watch making lasts for many centuries; they changed their image and shape several times. The word "watch" appeared in the 14th century. Translated from Latin, this word meant "call". Ancient people determined time by the movement of the sun in the sky. It was determined by the location of the sun in one or another part of the sky - at sunrise - it means morning, in the middle - noon, sunset - respectively, evening. Seemingly simple, but not accurate method of timing.

The first and most ancient hours were sundial. So they were called. People put a stick on the ground and determined the time by the movement of the luminary on the horizon, or rather by its shadow, reflected from the stick to the ground.

Already in 1577, the first watch with an arrow appeared. They had a simple mechanism and were invented thanks to blueprints. We will use just such a mechanism today to make crafts in the form of a watch.

In this article, you will learn how to make a do-it-yourself wall clock for the kitchen from coffee beans.

In 1887, the French founded the first coffee plantation in Vietnam, and in 1896 the British planted the first coffee trees in faraway Australia.

A coffee tree

We bring to your attention the step-by-step making of coffee crafts with your own hands. Before you start creating a coffee tree, you need to prepare all the materials.

Useful for us:

  • Styrofoam;
  • PVA glue and super glue;
  • flower pot;
  • gypsum;
  • ribbon;
  • threads;
  • barrel stick;
  • coffee beans.

It's time for a master class on coffee crafts. First you need to make a ball from the prepared foam and wrap it with threads. To prevent the threads from falling apart, the ends can be fixed with PVA glue.

The first step has already been passed and now it is necessary to make a hole for the stick on the ball. Then you can glue the ball with coffee beans. After the glue is dry, start working on the second coat. This time, all the grains must be attached with the convex side to the ball using super glue.

After drying, a stick greased with glue must be inserted into the left hole. Then pour the plaster solution into the flower pot. If you don't have a pot, use a regular plastic cup. If the solution is clear, you can add a little coffee grounds to it.

We put the ball attached to the stick in the prepared pot. After complete drying, your product can be decorated with nuts.

The stick should be tied with a ribbon and the original coffee product is ready.

Coffee painting

A few more ideas, along with instructions on how to make a coffee craft, you will consider further. The most popular are paintings, which can be used not only to decorate your home, but also to present as a gift to family and friends. Therefore, next we will make a picture of coffee beans together.

Before that, let's prepare:

  • a piece of burlap;
  • a piece of hard cardboard;
  • frame;
  • stencil;
  • glue;
  • colorless varnish;
  • coffee beans.

First you need to tightly cover a sheet of cardboard with a cloth and glue it on the other side.

Next, you should do the drawing. If there is a stencil, then this will simplify the task. But if it is not there, then the image can be applied independently. For example, it can be an inscription, congratulations or a cup of coffee. Each person will be able to draw an ordinary steaming cup.

Then, along the contour of the drawing, you can begin to glue the coffee fruits. It remains only to cover the craft with colorless varnish and, after complete drying, insert it into the frame.

Decorative candle

Using coffee beans can also make a beautiful candle. She will create a romantic atmosphere in the house. To make this craft, you need to prepare:

  • candle;
  • glue;
  • coffee beans.

Making a decorative candle is very simple. You need to glue coffee beans to it and the craft is ready. Having shown imagination, the candle can be decorated with beads or something else.

It is not necessary to glue the candle with grains. You can make a regular candlestick using a glass or other vessel.

Coffee bean hedgehog

Another very interesting craft that you can do with your own hands is a hedgehog. It is perfect as a gift for a child, or it will become a piece of furniture. To create, you should prepare:

  • coffee beans;
  • glue;
  • plastic ball;
  • Styrofoam;
  • scissors;
  • leg-split;
  • two black beads;
  • thick cardboard.

We take a ball and cut it in half. Cut a circle out of cardboard along the diameter of the hemisphere and glue them. This will be the body of the hedgehog.

We connect the muzzle and body with glue. Then you can start gluing the grains in rows and the product is ready. The hedgehog can be decorated with artificial leaves, fruits or flowers.

Coffee bean clock

To make original watches from coffee beans, we need:

  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • coffee beans.

Cut a circle out of a prepared piece of cardboard and glue the grains in a circular manner.

There should be room for arrows in the middle.

It remains only to make numbers and arrows that can be cut out of cardboard. If you have an old, unnecessary clock in your home, use it. The cut numbers should be glued on top of the grains, and the arrows in the middle.

Magnetic coffee heart

It is very easy to make a magnet in the shape of a heart from coffee beans yourself. To do this, take:

  • a piece of cardboard;
  • magnet;
  • the cloth;
  • glue.

First, cut out the heart from cardboard. We glue a magnet on either side. Then we glue the product with a cloth.

It remains only to add the main component and the original magnet is ready. We take the fruits and glue them to the fabric. It is desirable that all grains are the same size.

It is not necessary to make a heart-shaped magnet. It could be a horseshoe or something else.

Any product can be created from coffee. Paste over a photo frame, vase or lamp. Also, with the help of grains, you can make an original gift that will always delight the recipient. Coffee lovers will appreciate this handmade surprise.
