Painted crushed stone coloring technology. Opening plan. Accessories and Consumables

The production of colored gravel is a business idea with minimal investment and risks.

Currently, there is an unsatisfied demand for these products among the population.

Colored crushed stone is used to decorate aquarium soils, decorative design of premises, landscape design, etc.

Your business in the production of colored gravel can be confidently attributed to a business with minimal investment. In most cases, you can open a mini-production almost in “garage” conditions by investing no more than 100 thousand rubles in equipment ...

Currently, the demand among the population for decorative gravel is slowly but surely growing. The reason for this is that people increasingly want to stand out, to somehow uniqueize their local area. Colored gravel can be used for decoration of aquarium substrates, indoor decoration, landscaping, etc.

Businessmen are attracted by the fact that the technology for the production of decorative gravel is quite simple. You can understand the entire technological process in just a day or two. The cost of the equipment is on average 100 thousand rubles and, with proper organization of sales, it pays off extremely quickly. The profitability of the business can reach 50-100%.

In addition to low costs for starting a business, the advantage is that to organize production in one shift, it is enough to attract no more than two people. The qualifications of the workers also do not really matter, so there are no problems with finding "working hands".

What equipment to choose for the production of decorative gravel

If there is a problem with the financing of the project, then for the first time you can do without buying a vibrating screen and sift the crushed stone manually using meshes of the right size. You can also do without a drying chamber, that is, leave the rubble to dry in the open air. It remains to purchase only a concrete mixer.

Colored gravel production technology

With the help of a screen (or manually with a mesh), crushed stone is sorted into fractions of the desired size. Usually crushed stone larger than 10 mm is screened out, since it is more convenient to paint it. Also, by sorting, garbage and other contaminants are eliminated.

Next, the sorted mass is immersed in a concrete mixer and paint of the desired color is poured in a volume of 20% of the volume of crushed stone. Then there is a process of mixing the material for 40-60 minutes. At the end of the process, the entire material will be evenly covered with paint.

In order to save paint, the extraction of painted crushed stone should be carried out above the receiving hopper through a metal mesh. All excess paint will drain into this hopper, which can be used for the next painting.

The final step is the drying process. For large volumes, the best option is drying with a special drying chamber or hopper, but such equipment is not cheap. Therefore, in the early stages, you can leave the material to dry in the open air.

What taxation system to choose for business

To legalize your business, you need to register individual entrepreneurship or open an LLC (legal entity). If your business involves the release of small volumes of products, then the best form would be the IP. The procedure for registering an individual entrepreneur is very simple and does not require large expenses.

As tax systems the best option is the simplified taxation system (STS), 15% of profits. To switch to this system, it is necessary to write a statement about the desire to switch from the general taxation system to the simplified tax system within 3 days after registering the IP.

How much money is needed for the production of colored gravel

For the production of 1 ton of colored gravel you will need:

  1. Water based paint. Consumption - 20 kg/ton. The cost of the paint is 200 rubles/kg. The cost of paint for the production of 1 ton of colored gravel will be 4,000 rubles;
  2. Granite (or marble) crushed stone. The cost of one ton of crushed granite is 2000 rubles.

In total, the main costs for the production of 1 ton of decorative gravel will be 6,000 rubles.

How much can you earn on the sale of decorative gravel

At retail, colored crushed stone is sold at a price of 22,500 rubles/ton. Profit from one ton is 16,500 rubles. Profitability is about 50-200%!

Of course, we have not yet taken into account such costs as wages, taxes, transportation costs, etc. But even taking into account these costs, the profitability of the business will be at least 50%. This is a very good indicator for a business with an initial investment of up to 100 thousand rubles.

Advertising and sales

Of course, the main thing in this business is sales. The buyer needs to convey information about the benefits of this product. You can, for example, place colored banners on the track depicting colorful landscapes decorated with colored gravel, indicating the contact information of your company. It is possible to hand over product samples for sale to the construction markets in packaged form, for example, in plastic bags of 20 kg. The best season to start selling these products is spring, when the construction market comes to life.

Step by step opening plan

The organization of any business, including the production of colored gravel, has certain stages: Business registration. There are two legal forms to choose from:

  • IP. This option is suitable for those who are constrained by financial means and are not going to initially establish production for impressive volumes;
  • entity. This process, in comparison with the first one, takes more time and requires additional money. It is suitable for those who initially plan to establish volume production.

Choice of location. There are also several options here:

  • we conclude a lease agreement for production space;
  • acquisition or construction of a production facility independently. This option is more expensive than the previous one;

purchase of the necessary equipment:

  • purchase of raw materials and related materials;
  • conclusion of contracts for the supply of finished material;
  • conclusion of a contract for the removal of garbage and its disposal.

preparation of internal documentation, which includes:

  • collective agreement;
  • individual employment contracts;
  • job descriptions;
  • internal labor regulations;
  • safety instruction at work;
  • instructions for fire safety measures, etc.

Which OKVED to indicate when registering the production of colored gravel

When registering a business for the production of colored gravel, two codes are suitable according to the all-Russian classifier of types of economic activity:

  • processing of decorative stone - 26.70;
  • production of other mineral products, not related to metal ... - 23.99.

What documents are needed to open a business

Before you start preparing a package of documents, you need to decide on the legal form of the business. IP will require:

  • submit an application for registration to the Federal Tax Service;
  • make a photocopy of the passport and TIN;
  • pay the state fee for filing and consideration of the application;
  • choose a taxation system.

For legal entities, it is additionally necessary to prepare:

  • documents on the establishment of a legal entity;
  • authorized capital;
  • acquire an address for the company.

Do I need a permit for the production of colored gravel

To open a business for the production of colored stone, you will need to obtain permission from two government agencies:

  • in the fire department;
  • in Rospotrebnadzor.

In addition to the above documents, no additional licenses or permits will be required. This is an exhaustive list.

Colored crushed stone is a natural stone of a fine fraction that has undergone coloring. Painted gravel has a smooth surface and does not lose its properties under the influence of high humidity, different temperature conditions, ultraviolet radiation and other negative phenomena.

Description of the business idea for the production of colored gravel

The material also has other names, for example: colored gravel, painted stone, painted pebbles. The decorative crushed stone in bags is realized. The scope of application of the original finishing material is quite large: it is landscape design, interior decoration, facade cladding, and even decoration of aquariums.

Our business valuation:

Starting investments - from 100,000 rubles.

Market saturation is average.

The complexity of starting a business is 5/10.

The production of decorative colored gravel can become a profitable business with a good development prospect in Russia. And this despite the fact that the initial stage of opening an enterprise does not require large financial investments.
Business can be done even on the packing of stone: the price of 1 ton of simple crushed stone is about 2,000 rubles, the price of a bag is 300 rubles. Given the relatively high cost of painted pebbles, we can assume the profitability of the enterprise.

stone coloring technology

The technology for the production of colored gravel is not a complicated process, but it requires some knowledge about the properties of dyes and adherence to the algorithm of actions. Staining of simple marble rubble takes place in several stages: painting with special dyes, drying, packaging, transportation to the place of sale or storage. One package of decorative stone weighs approximately 20-25 kg.

A novice entrepreneur needs to know what paints are used in the manufacturing process of the original finishing material. According to experts, the best pigment is acrylic paint for colored gravel, but there are other options for giving the desired shade to gravel.

The cost of equipment for painting gravel

The production of colored gravel is impossible without the right equipment and tools. When using ready-made raw materials, stone coloring is carried out at minimal cost. The expense item will include only the purchase of crushed stone or pebbles, dyes and some devices that can be placed in a small area, no more than 100 m2.

Equipment for the production of colored crushed stone should have an optimal ratio of productivity and cost.

The kit includes the following devices:

  • container for raw materials (bunker);
  • concrete mixer (for painting);
  • vibrating sieve (sifting stones);
  • bunker for storage of finished material;
  • packing device (or unit for sewing up packing).

To load and unload crushed stone, you need to purchase 2-4 shovels, costing about 300 rubles. a piece. The material is packed in 20-25 kg per bag, on this basis, 2000 bags of 4.5 - 5 rubles should be bought for a month. a piece.

Tanks for bulk building materials, having a volume of 10 cubic meters. meters cost about 150 thousand rubles. a piece. A concrete mixer of the required power - from 25 thousand rubles. The cost of the vibrating sieve varies within 90 thousand rubles. When choosing a machine for sewing bags, you should pay attention to Belgian manufacturers. The cost of the device is about 45 thousand rubles.

The kit is designed for the production of colored crushed stone in the amount of about 10 cubic meters. meters in 8-10 hours.

If there is a shortage of funds, you can do without bunkers for the first time, for example, make homemade boxes. The material can also be sifted manually using screens with a suitable mesh size, postponing the purchase of a vibrating sieve until better times.

You can paint colored gravel with your own hands using various paints and binders. The composition of the dyes may include various components, so the cost of the color will be different.

Judging by the set of equipment and materials, an enterprise for the production of painted crushed stone can be opened with minimal costs, not exceeding 100 thousand rubles. At the initial stage, the help of two hired workers who do not have qualifications and certain skills is sufficient.

Gravel painting technology

In order to prevent marriage during the production process, you should familiarize yourself in more detail with how to make colored gravel with your own hands. This requires material with a fraction of 10-30 mm, dyes and binders.

The main stages of production:

  • selection of crushed stone of the desired fraction and separation of debris, while it is important to remember that the material is better painted with a fraction of 10 mm;
  • loading raw materials into a concrete mixer;
  • addition of dyes: no more than 20% of the total volume of the material;
  • mixing paint and gravel for an hour until the material is covered with a uniform film;
  • removing a stone from a concrete mixer using a special mesh through which excess coloring matter is removed;
  • drying the material;
  • finished products.

Financial part

To calculate the profit from one ton of output, you should know the cost of raw materials and the market price of painted crushed stone. Crushed stone costs about 2000 rubles. per ton. The price of acrylic paint is 200 rubles. for 1 kg. To paint 1 ton of crushed stone, you need to spend about 20 kg of paint, that is, 4000 rubles. The cost of a ton of painted decorative stone is 6,000 rubles. The average market price of finishing material varies from 23,000 rubles. per ton. The maximum deductions are 50% of net profit. As a result, the entrepreneur will receive about 8,000-10,000 thousand rubles from 1 ton of painted crushed stone. income.

This is an excellent indicator for .

Sales of products

To determine the sales market, you need to know: in what areas is the painted decorative stone in demand?

Regular customers, including wholesalers, can be:

  • private traders who buy stone for finishing facades, flower beds, paths, etc.;
  • utility services;
  • organizations involved in landscape design;
  • funeral services bureau;
  • aquarium salons;
  • pet stores and

You can look for customers on your own or using the services of the media, but you need to remember some seasonality of the goods: the highest demand is observed from March to September inclusive.

In order to create an interesting and colorful garden or park design, they often resort to the use of painted gravel. In addition, such an original decorative material is widely used in interior design, when decorating aquariums and decorative flower pots.

The demand for painted gravel is quite high and has not fallen for many years. Using the production of colored gravel as a business is quite profitable. The technology of its production is not particularly difficult, and mastering it is quite simple.

Documents for business

To start your own business, first of all, you need to register. In order to be engaged in the painting of crushed stone, with a view to its subsequent sale, you can register as an individual entrepreneur (IP) or a legal entity - a limited liability company (LLC).

Since such production is not characterized by huge turnover and large industrial production, it is easier and more convenient to register as an individual entrepreneur. To do this you need:

  • write an application in the prescribed form to the federal tax service at the place of its registration;
  • pay the state fee for registration as an individual entrepreneur;
  • present a passport or other document that allows you to identify your identity.

After providing the specified documents, in five working days, you will be able to receive a document on your registration as an individual entrepreneur.

When filling out the application, you need to select and indicate the code for your future activity according to the all-Russian classifier of types of economic activity. To do this, you should carefully study the classifier and select all the codes that suit you at the moment and those codes that you plan to use in the future.

In addition, it should be borne in mind that when registering an individual entrepreneur, the taxation system is automatically set as a general one. In order to change it, you need to write an application for changing the taxation system within three days after you have registered.

The general taxation system is the most time-consuming in terms of accounting and taxes on it are quite high. For the production of colored stones, it is worth choosing a simplified taxation system (STS). It is of two types - with and without expenses. In the first case, you will pay 15% tax on net profit, and in the second - 6%, but on the entire turnover. What is more profitable for you is up to you to decide.

Technology

In order to paint crushed stone according to the technology, simple devices and simple steps are enough:

  • separation of crushed stone into fractions (this stage can be avoided if you buy fractional crushed stone);
  • coloring of crushed stone in the mixer (concrete mixer);
  • drying stones.

Let us consider in more detail all the stages of the technological process.

  1. The first stage of the process is the division into fractions. For this, special sifters are used, which must be purchased. This stage can be avoided by buying a certain fraction of crushed stone, but this will lead to an increase in the cost of your production. This is due to the fact that crushed stone divided into fractions is several times more expensive than undivided.
  2. In order to carry out the coloring of stones, concrete mixers are used. The stones are loaded into the concrete mixer together with the paint and mixed for 20-40 minutes. A word of advice: if possible, it is worth buying several concrete mixers to speed up the production process. Here the question arises - “how to paint the rubble?”, But about it later.
  3. For drying, the painted crushed stone is unloaded onto a metal grate and dried. If the production is small, then the crushed stone can be dried simply in the air. When the volumes increase significantly, special drying chambers or bunkers are used for drying.

Equipment

In order to organize production, it is necessary to buy at least a minimum set of equipment. It is imperative to buy at least one concrete mixer, and preferably several. Ideally, there should be as many concrete mixers as there are colors in the color scheme of the crushed stone you produce. In addition, crushed stone can be divided into fractions using manual sifting.

As already mentioned, buying a sifter can be avoided, but it is highly recommended to buy it. Despite its cost, about 80 thousand rubles, it will pay off quickly enough. Its quick payback is due to the fact that the price of crushed stone divided and not divided into fractions differs several times.

In order for the drying process to go faster, you can purchase a drying chamber. At first, there will be no special need for its acquisition. When you start to expand production, then the question of purchasing a dryer will become an edge. If you are making small volumes of rubble, then you can simply dry it in a dry, well-ventilated area.

Naturally, it is necessary to purchase small inventory, such as shovels, sieves, and the like. In addition, it does not hurt to purchase work gloves and other small things.

Staff

In order to organize a mini-production for the manufacture of painted gravel, it is quite possible to do without hired workers. If you do not plan to work independently, but are going to engage only in administrative activities, then you cannot do without workers.

With average production volumes, four workers will be enough for you, who will work through the shift. The qualifications of the workers are practically irrelevant. Any physically strong man can load crushed stone into a concrete mixer and unload it.

Raw materials

For the production of finished products, you will need to purchase raw materials. Colored gravel consists of gravel and the dye applied to it.

It is clear that the main raw material is crushed stone. You will buy it by the ton. It is advisable to carry out preliminary preparation of stones before staining, namely, to wash them. This preparation will allow you to get a more saturated color.

It is important to remember that the stones must be dried before staining.

The dye also refers to raw materials, but you will buy it, of course, not in tons. In addition to the coloring pigment, you will also need a binder. PVA glue usually acts as the current of the binder base. Sometimes polymer paints for crushed stone are used for coloring.

Business plan

In order to open a mini-production in your garage, you will need a minimum investment. It will be enough to buy 10 tons of crushed stone, worth 15-20 thousand rubles, a dye for it - about 10 thousand rubles. Also, you can not do without a concrete mixer, costing about 9 thousand rubles. In addition, you will need sieves and shovels.

In general, the organization of production in your own garage will cost you about 50 thousand rubles. Given the profitability of such production, you will be able to recoup the investment in less than 3 months of work.

If it is planned to open a large-scale production, then the costs can be about 900 thousand rubles. This amount includes equipment, raw materials, rent and wages to workers. Such investments will pay off quickly enough - within 6-9 months.

room

For such an organization, in order to comply with the technology for the production of colored gravel, even a garage or a shed is enough. All this can be organized even at home.

If you are going to engage in serious production, then you should choose a room in the industrial part of your locality. The size of the room will depend on the scale of your production.

It is important that the passage of heavy vehicles and trucks is provided to the premises. Your main raw material, crushed stone, will be delivered by heavy trucks.

It is necessary that the premises have electricity, water supply and sewerage. Electricity is better with a voltage of 380 watts.

Advertising and sales

In order for production to be profitable, it is necessary to establish sales of finished products. To achieve well-established distribution channels, you need to make yourself known to the consumer.

Depending on the volume of production, it is necessary to develop an advertising campaign. If you are planning a fairly large business, then you need to conduct fairly large-scale advertising. Here you will come to the aid of billboards, advertising on transport, in the media and brochures.

If the production is small, then it is better to work on order. To find customers, you can use a tool such as bulletin boards on the Internet. You need to create your own website.

Given some seasonality of this business, it is necessary to take care of orders in the so-called off season. To do this, it is worth offering your customers such a service as storage of paid goods “on demand”. This will make it possible to load production throughout the year, and not only during the warm seasons, when people are massively engaged in landscaping.

conclusions

The most important component that will ensure the quality of the finished product is crushed stone paint. It is she who should be chosen quite meticulously. It must be resistant to ultraviolet rays, since crushed stone is mainly used outdoors.

Outdoor decorative work in the form of garden decoration, laying out sidewalk paths, decorating flower beds can be done using such a popular material as colored gravel. It has an almost unlimited range of colors (like the paint itself), so it allows you to carry out any design ideas. But in building stores, such material will cost 2-3 times more than its unpainted counterpart, so the question arises, how to paint the rubble yourself?

Application spectrum

The demand for this material is due to the fact that with its help you can achieve a brighter and more stylish design of the adjacent area, as well as create whole picture-messages that reflect some idea. Painted gravel is used for the following purposes:

  • creation of original flower beds and lawns;
  • registration of sites around artificial reservoirs;
  • landscape works;
  • filling terrariums and aquariums (fine gravel).

Choosing a coloring agent

In conditions where you plan to carry out small finishing work, it is not advisable for you to purchase a large amount of building materials, therefore it is better to make crushed stone in color with your own hands, measuring as much stone as you need for the task at hand.

The good news for many will be the fact that the production technology is simple, and the consumption is small - only 1 kg of paint is taken per 100 kg of crushed stone. This rule applies if you are going to paint in a concrete mixer, and with other methods, the consumption increases.

To accomplish this task, you can use any coloring compositions: alkyd paints, water-dispersed, enamels, sometimes even take PVA glue mixed with a dye. But the most favorable option for this purpose is acrylic paint.

This is due to the fact that you need a substance that is resistant to moisture, as well as not fading in the sun, able to keep the color for a long time. This is how the above paint is characterized, but besides this, it is also harmless, both for humans and for nature.

Required equipment

To make the whole staining procedure go quickly and without hesitation, you will need the following devices:

  • concrete mixer;
  • machine "roar" - vibrating sieve;
  • grate or sieve for washing or drying;
  • pallet;
  • container for storing finished material.

Stone preparation before painting

When buying crushed stone, you get a heterogeneous composition, the size of each stone can vary from 10 to 30 mm. There are also smaller fractions that are more applicable for interior decoration. That is why sizing is necessary.

This can be done manually on a sieve with the desired mesh size, or, which is faster and easier, use a screening machine. Any of the above technologies provides for the separation of excess litter, too small pebbles, sand.

But in order for the acrylic paint to hold well, the crushed stone must also be washed. This will ensure that the dye adheres better to the surface of the stone and allows you to create exactly the shade that you want, because if not washed, the stone can darken.

Washing can be carried out directly on the screen, pouring from a hose or water from a bucket. Due to the fact that the machine creates shaking, cleaning will take place from all sides. After that, spread the washed mass in a uniform layer on the grate and dry it in the open air.

The process of creating painted gravel

There is only one way to paint rubble, and it is almost automatic, since your participation in the main process will be minimal. The most efficient and time-saving technology involves the use of a concrete mixer. After you have prepared all the components properly, you can proceed to the painting itself, which consists of several stages:

  1. Crushed stone should be placed in a concrete mixer for two-thirds of the volume of the machine (if the capacity is 0.7 cubic meters).
  2. Pour paint in a ratio of 30 percent to 70 percent of the stone.
  3. Start the mechanism and wait 40-60 minutes until the stone is completely covered with a colored layer.
  4. At the end of the “kneading”, drying follows - lay everything on the grid, substituting a tray under the bottom, where the remaining paint will run.

Dried painted gravel is not desirable to store in the open air, it is better to use a closed container.

To protect against external influences, it is possible to use. This will give the material an additional decorative effect.

Another coloring method

If you don’t have a concrete mixer at your disposal, then it will be more difficult to create painted crushed stone, but it’s possible that you will have to pour the stone into a container with paint and mix it yourself, and then dry the crushed stone.

Or just spray paint on the stone, but this method does not give a uniform color and uniform staining on all sides.

Making your own painted gravel for finishing park areas or a plot near the house is much cheaper than buying a finished product: you will pay a thousand rubles for an unpainted product, while a colored one costs over 20 thousand. Given such savings and an extremely logical production technology, the idea of making crushed stone for decoration with your own hands is rationally conditioned.

Colored gravel, along with paving slabs, is actively used today in decorating and landscaping private and urban land plots. The need for such production, the low cost of an “entry ticket” to this business, and the relative ease of its organization make the production of colored gravel a very profitable business, which would be an unforgivable mistake to ignore the description of.

In today's article, we will continue the topic of the production of building materials, which are still in great demand, despite the crisis in the economy. There can be several reasons for this, two main ones:
  1. In fact, everything is not as bad as the situation in the country is described by the media, or people have recovered from the consequences of the sanctions and have adapted to the new economic conditions.
  2. Many are trying to buy real estate, build houses, and so on. until the moment when the country's economy will be even worse, and there will be no opportunity for this.

Brief business analysis:
Business setup costs:25,000 - 70,000 rubles
Relevant for cities with a population: no limits
Situation in the industry:average saturation of the supply market
The complexity of organizing a business: 2/5
Payback: from 1 purchase

One way or another, the demand for building materials today is extremely high, the load on existing production has increased by 2-3 times, but many entrepreneurs simply do not have the funds to expand, and therefore it will be much easier for a newcomer who decides to enter this area right now to find his consumers than to do it, say, in a year or two, or three. Moreover, the future is now so vague that it is better to start taking care of it right now (for those who have not started doing this yet). So to some extent, this material can be attributed to the continuation of becoming "What is profitable to produce in a crisis."

We will build a house - we will live!

It turns out that building a house is not enough. Of course, in itself this is the main, main aspect of the construction of individual real estate, but decorating it, so much so that others envy (it is this desire that often drives people) is also very important.

And here, as they say, who cares what. I have already described interesting and creative ideas for making money on decorating gardens with crafts from ordinary plastic bottles, and on arranging private areas with paving slabs. Today I propose to get acquainted with another way - the production of colored gravel. Surely, many immediately understood what was at stake - many homeowners have recently begun to decorate flower beds and lawns with such rubble (for those who have no idea what it is all about, just look at the photos in the article). In large quantities, such crushed stone is also used by ritual agencies for the care of burials. However, the list of potential buyers is not limited to them.

Who needs colored gravel?

In general, it should be noted that there are quite a lot of options for selling your products, but immediately note that this business is seasonal, the demand for crushed stone occurs mainly in spring and summer. When people begin to ennoble their plots and adjacent territories. Therefore, for the winter period, you should take care of another type of income, which, by the way, you will find in abundance on this blog.

  • individual citizens
  • Utilities and road services whose responsibilities include the arrangement of city lawns, park areas, etc.
  • landscape design companies
  • Funeral companies
  • Resellers, which include building stores that buy colored crushed stone in large wholesale quantities and sell it at their retail price.
  • Zoological shops that offer colored gravel for terrariums, aquariums, and animal cages.

By the way, from the definition of categories of target consumers (see how to do it here -), we can conclude that there is a buyer for colored gravel almost everywhere.

Production process

The production of colored gravel is so easy that one can simply wonder how there is still a shortage of manufacturers in this niche. So, for production, two main materials are required:

  1. Actually, rubble (or river pebbles)
  2. Dyes of various colors

In order to obtain high-quality products, certain requirements are imposed on raw materials, namely:

  • Crushed stone must be free of impurities (sand, clay, earth, etc.); medium fraction (from 1 to 3 centimeters); clean and dry, because paint simply will not fall on dirty and wet material.
  • It is best to use acrylic dye - this factor was empirically “calculated” by your predecessors. It is he who provides the greatest resistance to abrasion.

A few words should be said about the storage conditions of the material: it should be a dry, covered room or shed. Production should be located in close proximity to storage facilities, ideally communicated by a transport tape.

Useful information: the volume of the body of a conventional KAMAZ, which transports crushed stone, is 10 m³, which is approximately 14 tons.

Conventionally, the entire production process can be divided into 6 stages:

  1. Sorting of consumables. Of course, it is much more convenient to immediately purchase crushed stone of the desired fraction, but such raw materials, as a rule, are several times more expensive, and instead of 800-1100 rubles per ton, you will have to "fork out" by 1.5-2. Therefore, for those who want to save money, it is necessary to install a sieve with the appropriate cells in the workshop for the production of colored gravel.
  2. Backfilling crushed stone and pouring dye into the paint bin. Often its role is played by an ordinary concrete mixer (perhaps even with a manual drive).
  3. Directly the process of painting rubble, which takes 15-20 minutes on the strength.
  4. Drying painted gravel. Usually this operation is performed on a large sieve, under which a tray is placed, into which excess paint flows. All this can be made independently from improvised materials, thereby saving a considerable amount on the purchase of the necessary equipment. The dimensions of the sieve should be calculated from the need to accommodate approximately 100-130 liters of crushed stone (this is how much is usually placed in a standard concrete mixer).
  5. Sending products to a warehouse, which is subject to similar requirements as for the storage of consumables.
  6. Packing of colored gravel. Packing bags can be very different, containing from 5 to 50 kilograms. Packaging is done manually, and packing of bags is done using a special portable machine.

The finished product should be even, painted, dry, the pebbles should be of the same diameter if possible.

As I said, the "entry ticket" to the production of colored gravel is inexpensive. Starting costs will be needed for the purchase of consumables, some of the equipment can be made on your own, and the production area can be organized at a summer cottage or personal plot.

From the equipment you will need the following:

  • Concrete mixer with volume from 100 to 130 liters
  • Vibrating sieve, similar to those used in the production of paving slabs
  • Bunker for storage of finished products
  • Hand shovel
