So, noticing how my man became interested when he saw an advertisement for this tank ... well, of course

RADIO-CONTROLLED MODEL OF TANK T-72
is a high-quality copy of a real combat vehicle, in which all the details are reproduced with great accuracy and the functions of a real tank are preserved.

I thought it would be nice to surprise my beloved .... I bought the first magazine for 99 rubles, and subscribed to all subsequent issues that will come by mail. Moreover, the cost of subsequent issues is 399 rubles apiece. In addition to the last 2 issues, they are 799 each (this was a surprise already for me). Total issues 65. О_О

Issues came in 4 at a time, every month. I figured that the money is not particularly expensive, about 1600 a month, for how much joy it is for a big child to assemble a miniature copy of a combat vehicle that will blow smoke and shoot at a target. Magazines came from May 2015, we are waiting for the last one in August 2016. In each issue - the declared number of parts, a magazine with instructions, interesting facts and the history of tank building.

The total amount of the tank is 26,834 rubles. Ok, I would not even be outraged that the last 2 magazines cost 2 times more, but the quality of the parts, girls and boys, is terrible. Approximately 15% of parts are defective, then there are no holes where needed, then there are no threads at the nuts, then the smoke generator tube is short and does not reach the hole in the body, then the suspension springs of different stiffness! It would seem trifles, but all this turns the assembly process into crazy, although, in theory, it should be enjoyable, because everything is quite simple.

Another controversial point in the assembly is how many "tracks" (track links) should be in a whole track. According to instruction 99, but in such an amount the caterpillar will not fit the wheels. do 100 - the caterpillar hangs too weak. On YouTube, whole battles are being fought about this, but it is not possible to get to the bottom of the truth.

The next moment that angered me is the feedback. When I wrote to the mail a claim for defective parts, in response I received complete nonsense. Here is a screenshot of the answer about the smoke generator tube:

Are you seriously?!? Warm up with a hairdryer? Maybe I can also dance a shamanic dance with a tambourine around? For a toy that costs more than 25 OK? Well, comrades deagostinschiki, this is the height of arrogance !!! As for the rest of the defective parts, they were promised to be sent in 2-3 weeks at zero cost.

Of course, not everything is as gloomy as it might seem at first glance, the tank turns out to be really realistic, heavy, large, a radio control panel, a tankman, folders for magazines, a DVD with an assembly manual came as a "free" gift. All this would have to be purchased separately if the subscription had not been issued. And yes, the smoke generator tube stretched ~ 5 mm when heated with a hair dryer ... but this, damn it, laughs at the chickens)))))

Also one of the advantages is that there is a website on which it is described in detail what parts will come with each release, their cost and assembly instructions.

In general, the hand does not rise to put more than 2 stars, in the balance the "minuses" outweigh all the "pluses". The price does not match the quality and service. The price tag is unreasonably high, which is why I think these magazines are just siphoning off money. Yes, 1600 a month is bullshit, but the final amount is quite high, and for this money I would like everything to be perfect. People, don't get fooled, even if you really love to design, look for alternatives. And I will never contact Deagostini again.

Collecting large-scale replica models of modern weapons and military equipment is a hobby to which thousands of citizens of our country and the whole world devote their free time with great pleasure.

In recent years, there has been a tendency when bench models are increasingly preferred to full-fledged ones that have the ability to move. In this series, the leading positions are rightfully taken by radio-controlled products.

New product of the Russian market

The DeAgostini group in Russia implemented a project that aroused quite predictable interest among amateurs of armored vehicles. Now they have the opportunity to become the owner of such a product as a radio-controlled model of the T-72 tank. An employee of the UVZ Design Bureau, which produces real tanks of the mentioned model, took part in its development.

Moreover, the publisher's approach to resolving the issue is unique in its own way. Anyone who wants to get a high-quality copy at a scale of 1:16 does not purchase at one time the entire set of parts from which he independently assembles the T-72 tank (the model is capable of moving in any direction, obeying the commands of the control panel), as was the practice earlier.

The parts required for assembly, instructions for creating a particular assembly, go on sale weekly, complete with a magazine. In addition to materials directly related to technology and installation, the magazine "Tank T-72" (model 1:16) contains materials on the history of the development of armored vehicles in the USSR and Russia.

Where and when can you buy the magazine?

Magazines are sold in kiosks of Soyuzpechat and AiF in almost every settlement in Russia.

The first issue was released on 05/09/2015, and was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In addition to the first set of parts for assembly, a DVD is included with the magazine. It is planned that a complete set of parts for the fully assembled controlled model of the T-72 tank will appear in 65 issues of the magazine.

The publishers took into account the likelihood that some of the modelers may find themselves in a situation where the issue of the magazine containing the parts from which the radio-controlled model of the T-72 tank is assembled cannot be purchased. In this case, it can be ordered directly from the manufacturer (detailed information is available in the magazine and on the company's official website).

What does the modeler get?

Each purchase will contain a magazine and a set of parts. After completing installation and debugging, you will receive a T-72 tank, the model of which has the following dimensions: 420.0 * 214.5 * 142.5 (mm) and weighs 3,700 g.

All parts from which the assembly is carried out are made of a metal alloy. The tower is made of metal-plastic. It is important that the caterpillar tracks are made of metal, which allows the model to move on almost any soil. Support tracks, drive wheel and idler are metal. All plugs are made of plastic.

The assembled model of the T-72 tank is completed with a figurine of an armed tanker made on a similar scale. A significant advantage of the model, providing a smooth ride and a sufficiently high cross-country ability, is the working autonomous suspension of the support tracks.

The set does not include a remote control and a headset that allows you to control the model using a tablet or phone (camera and Wi-Fi).

What does this model do?

The T-72 tank, the model of which can be obtained as a result of the complete completion of assembly work, is capable of:

  • conduct a "real" battle using IR sensors;
  • move forward and backward;
  • turn in both directions;
  • unfold on the spot;
  • raise and lower the barrel of the gun;
  • to emit "exhaust gases" from a running engine;
  • hatches (both tower and driver) open.

The assembled model of the T-72 "DeAgostini" tank can be controlled using a special remote control supplied with the model, from a computer or smartphone.

Why choose the T-72 model?

This tank is rightfully considered a cult vehicle that marked a new stage in the development of domestic production of heavy equipment. The T-72 Ural is a second generation MBT. It was adopted by the USSR Armed Forces in 1973 and was mass-produced until 1992 at two Ural tank factories (in Nizhny Tagil and Chelyabinsk).

During this time, about 30 thousand tanks were produced.

Licensed production of the tank was established in 4 states: Czechoslovakia, Poland, Iraq and India. Versions produced outside the USSR had the T-72M modification.

The assembled model of the T-72 tank was made in its initial modification, corresponding to the 1973 model. During serial production, the tank was produced in 19 modifications. The possibility of arming it with four different models of tank guns from 120 to 130 mm was considered. All issues related to modifications and modernization of the tank during its operation are discussed in detail in the magazines "Tank T-72", the model of which can be assembled if desired by any modeler who has bought all the numbers.

In addition, each issue contains an article dedicated to the development of tank building in the USSR, which discusses the creation of the most significant models (T-26, BT, T-34, KV, IS, etc.)

T-72 in service in the Russian Armed Forces

The Russian army is currently armed with a modification of the T-72B3 tank, the production of which began in 2011, and the first production vehicles entered the army in 2012. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation decided to curtail the production of the T-90 "Vladimir" tank and abandon the modernization of the existing T-80 tanks in favor of improving the existing T-72 to the level of T-72B3. This made it possible to obtain tanks of comparable quality at lower costs. Moreover, the decision was made taking into account the design work already underway at that time on the creation of the T-14 "Armata".

To participate in the international tank biathlon, the car was upgraded to the T-72BM3 type. This version received a high-power engine (1130 hp), a panoramic thermal imager at the commander's workplace, the APT and the COURT with voice output of information about the occurrence of malfunctions.

Tank T-72 today: global significance

This tank is in service with many countries in the world. These are the former member states of the Warsaw Pact, Iraq, India, Angola, Algeria, Iran and a number of other states.

The machine has been repeatedly tested in real combat operations and has earned high marks in the world. This is due to its ability to effectively resist the latest weapons and military equipment produced in the NATO states (USA, Germany, France).

Currently, T-72 tanks are actively used in Syria and take part in painful actions in various hot spots around the world.
